Rural Development project

The Rural Development project is meant to offer training to companies (Small and Micro Enterprises) that existed and were in operation but in the rural and outlaying parts of South Africa where training is not easily accessible or if accessible is costly. BANKSETA saw this as an opportunity to reach those SMEs that register with CIPC – Companies and Intellectual Property Commission and due to lack of infrastructure, resources and the distance that they are from SETAs (which are mostly in urban areas) end up not getting the support that they should be getting from the SETA (Sector Education and Training Authority) that serves their sector/industry.

The third phase of this project will be rolled from June 2019

Credit Loan Officer training workshops

The BANKSETA has appointed The Training Edge (ATTE) to offer the  Credit Loan Officer training workshops to Small and Micro Finance Enterprises including Debt Counsellors, Rural housing financiers, Credit Bureau and Community Based Organizations (CBO’s), Micro lenders; Cooperative Financial Institutions and Development Financial Institutions etc. Preference will be given to entities who have submitted Workplace Skills Plans and Annual Training Reports to BANKSETA for the 2019/20 financial year The focus will be on Credit Loan Officer Training and will be conducted in 3 day workshops Nationally.

The project was a huge success and it was well received by our stakeholders. The Training Edge is currently rolling out the third and final phase of the project from April 2019.

Regulatory Compliance training

The BANKSETA has appointed Rudo Consulting to offer Regulatory Compliance training support to (Registered and non-registered) Small and Micro Finance Enterprises including Debt Counsellors, Rural housing financiers, Credit Bureau  and Community Based Organizations (CBO’s), Micro Loan lenders; Cooperative Financial Institutions and Development Financial Institutions etc. The focus will be on: POPI Act, FICA Act, and Amended NCR Act, Financial Sector Regulation Bill and other relevant amended regulation. This training will be conducted in 3 day workshop nationally.

The project was a huge success and it was well received by our stakeholders. Rudo Consulting is currently rolling out the third and final phase of the project. Please expect an email from Rudo Consulting inviting you to attend the Regulatory Compliance  that will be taking place.
