Register on the Central Supplier Database for Government managed by the South African National Treasury
Dear valued stakeholders, It has come to our attention that with effect from 01 April 2016 the Central Supplier Database (CSD) will serve as the single source of key supplier information for all spheres of government providing consolidated, accurate, up-to-date, complete and verified supplier information to procuring organs of state.
The establishment of a CSD will result in a single database to serve as the source of all supplier information for all spheres of government. The purpose of centralising government’s supplier database is to reduce the duplication of effort and cost for both suppliers and government while enabling electronic procurement processes.
Prospective suppliers interested in pursuing opportunities within the South African Government and the BANKSETA and those that are already registered on the BANKSETA supplier database are encouraged to self-register on the National Treasury CSD. This self-registration application represents an expression of interest from the supplier to conduct business with the South African Government. Once submitted, your details will be assessed for inclusion on the CSD. Kindly note that deadline for registration is 17 March 2016.
