The skills@work awards give recognition to skills development initiatives that equip people in the banking sector with life-changing skills that enable them to contribute to building a better society.
Many members of the sector are doing superb work in developing skills and fostering best practice. BANKSETA aims to acknowledge and celebrate such efforts and thus encourage the banking and microfinance sector to invest in developing skills. Acquiring skills builds confidence and raises standards. This contributes to the ongoing improvement of and development of South Africa's banking and microfinance sector as a whole.
BANKSETA encourages small, medium and large companies, training providers and cooperative in the banking and microfinance to participate.
