Provincial Linkages: Introduction
The BANKSETA is dedicated to developing and implementing a holistic provincial presence in all of the nine official provinces in South Africa.

Further to meeting the Service Level Agreement provincial linkages target as defined by the Department of Labour (DoL), the BANKSETA (as a collaborative effort between all BANKSETA departments) endeavours to:
  • Strengthen relationship with BANKSETA provincial stakeholders, provincial government, provincial DoL offices, Department of Education (DoE) representatives and provincial SETAs.
  • Actively participate in provincial skills development forums
  • Align provincial strategies with the BANKSETA strategic priority areas and discretionary funded projects.
  • Augment the existing national stakeholder target group (including but not limited to beneficiaries, employers, co-operatives, training providers and learners) and thus improve participation within the target group.
  • Expand the BANKSETA communication within the provinces in terms of BANKSETA provincial interventions and promote a holistic BANKSETA brand.
